Warm: microwave for no more than 15 seconds at a time. Check the temperature against the inside of your wrist before it goes anywhere near your face. If it is not warm enough, give it another 10 seconds. Never go past 15 in one go.

Cold: twenty minutes in the fridge. It does not need the freezer and we would rather you did not use one.

Neither: most nights, straight from the bedside drawer. The weight and the darkness are doing the work. Temperature is for the evenings when your eyes have had enough.

1x weighted sleep mask with 180g of micro glass beads.

Strapless 360° wraparound band. No elastic, no velcro, no buckle, nothing behind your ears.

Two sides. One cool to the touch, one soft.

Free UK returns label, already in the box.

Cold wash, gentle cycle, in with your bedding. No handwashing, no dry cleaning, no delicates bag.

Air dry or tumble dry on low. Avoid high heat.

No bleach.

Worth checking on anything you sleep in. If you use a serum, a night cream or a retinol, it ends up on the mask. It matters more here than on most, because a mask you warm up is a mask you use in the evening as well as overnight.

Sleep with it for ninety nights. The first week is the awkward part with any weighted mask, and a thirty night trial barely gets you past it.

If it is not for you, send it back for a full refund. Free returns within the UK, label already in the box.

Free UK delivery on every order, with tracking.

Processing: dispatched within 24 hours on working days.

Returns: free within the UK, ninety nights, label included.

Three reasons the last one ended up in a drawer

Almost nobody stops using an eye mask because it was not dark enough. They stop because of the strap, because it only worked in one season, or because it was never dark enough in the daytime.

Warm on a bad evening. Cold on a worse morning.
For both ends of the day

Warm on a bad evening. Cold on a worse morning.

Fifteen seconds in the microwave and it is a warm compress for eyes that have spent eight hours on a screen. Twenty minutes in the fridge and it is the opposite: cool, flat, calming, the thing you want at six in the morning when you did not sleep well.

Most masks pick one. The cooling ones are useless in February. The warm ones are a single-use packet you have to keep buying.

This is one mask that does both, and on the nights you want neither, it is still 180g of darkness.

  • Microwave up to 15 seconds for gentle warmth
  • Twenty minutes in the fridge for the cold version
  • Reusable and washable, not a box of sachets
For hair past your shoulders

There is no strap. So there is nothing to pull.

Elastic pulls against your head for eight hours. It catches your hair when you turn over, it leaves a crease exactly where you do not want one, and it presses a groove in above your ear that is still there at nine in the morning.

Velcro is worse, because velcro and hair have never once ended well.

This has neither. The band is a continuous 360° wraparound with no fastening anywhere on it, which means there is no hook, no hinge and no edge for anything to catch on.

  • No elastic, no velcro, no buckle
  • Nothing behind your ears to press in
  • Goes over a bonnet or a headscarf
There is no strap. So there is nothing to pull.
Your shift ends at 8am. Your bedroom has not got the memo.
For anyone who sleeps when it is light

Your shift ends at 8am. Your bedroom has not got the memo.

You get home, it is full daylight, someone two doors down is mowing the lawn, and your body has no idea it is bedtime. You bought blackout curtains. There is still a line of light down the middle and another along the top.

The wraparound shape is contoured at the nose, which is where ordinary masks let the light in and where daylight is hardest to ignore.

And on the mornings when you get in and your eyes are stinging from a night under strip lighting, that is what the cold side is for.

  • Blocks up to 99% of light, including at the nose
  • Cool it before a daytime sleep
  • Packs flat. Works on a train, a plane, a sofa

HONESTLY

This is not for everyone

Some people never get on with weight on their face, and no amount of copy changes that. Read the left column honestly before you read the right one.

Skip this if...

Skip this if...

  • You already fall asleep easily in a room that is light enough.
  • You want a fit you can tighten. There is no strap on this, so there is nothing to adjust.
  • You have glaucoma, or you are before or after eye surgery. Speak to your doctor first.
  • You wear a CPAP mask. The band is wide and the two can compete for the same space.
  • You are looking for the cheapest mask on the shelf. This is not that.

This is for you if...

  • Your eyes are done by nine in the evening and a warm flannel is your current solution.
  • Your hair is long, thick or braided, and straps are the reason you gave up on eye masks.
  • You are buying single-use warm eye patches and you have worked out what a year of that costs.
  • You sleep during the day, or it is light at half four in June and your curtains only get you so far.
  • You run warm at night and cold in winter, and you do not want two separate masks for it.
This is for you if...

Recognise yourself on the right? Then you have ninety nights to find out, on us.

The warm setting is the reason I kept it

Fifteen seconds in the microwave and it is a proper warm compress. I was using a flannel over the sink before this, which worked for about ninety seconds.

Bought a second one

One for me, one for my partner. We go to bed about ninety minutes apart and it ended the negotiation about the lamp.

Stopped buying the sachets

I was going through a box of single-use warm patches every three weeks. Worked out what that was costing me over a year and bought this instead.

Nothing to catch on

There is genuinely no strap. No velcro, no elastic, no buckle. Which means there is no part of it that can get into my hair, which is why every previous one failed.

Cold in the morning is underrated

Keep it in the fridge, put it on for ten minutes before work on the mornings I have slept badly. Nobody sells them for that but it is what I use it for most.

Both sides get used

Had it since winter. Warm side and the plush fabric from January to about March, cold side and the smooth fabric since May. One purchase, two seasons.

Nine hours on a monitor and by eight in the evening my eyes feel like sandpaper. Warm it, twenty minutes, and it genuinely takes the edge off.

That is the real test with these things. Most of my sleep purchases lasted a fortnight.

Quiet, which I did not expect

My old one sounded like a beanbag every time I moved. These beads do not rustle.

Still on when the alarm goes

I turn over constantly. Sits low on the nose and stays there, which is more than the strapless pillow-type one I tried managed.

Streetlight outside our window

The council will not do anything about it. This solved it for the price of a takeaway instead of a few hundred pounds of blinds.

Does not feel cheap

I expected something flimsy for the money. It has proper weight and the fabric has survived six or seven washes without going bobbly.

Warm sleeper, so I have flipped it over about twice since April. Nice that both are there rather than being sold as two products.

Rotating shifts

Days one week, nights the next. The problem is never the first hour, it is hour three when the light is full.

Good, but the band is wide

Works exactly as described and I use it every night. Marking it down one because I have a small head and it sits a little lower than I would like.

No groove above my ear

The elastic on my last one left a mark that was still visible at half nine in the morning. This sits round the whole head instead of pinching at two points.

Machine washable and it survived

Three washes in and it has not gone lumpy or lost its shape, which is more than I can say for the silk one.

Sleeps on planes now

Long haul in a window seat with someone else's blind up two rows ahead used to be hopeless. Packs flat, weighs nothing.

Goes over a bonnet

Slides over the top without dragging it backwards. Small thing, but it is the reason I can actually use it.

I warm it while I am reading, then it has cooled to nothing by the time I actually go to sleep. That turns out to be exactly what I wanted.

Beads move about a bit

Have to even them out with my fingers every few nights or they gather at one end. Not a dealbreaker, but worth knowing before you order.

Fifteen seconds, exactly

Do actually stop at fifteen. I did twenty five the first time thinking I knew better and it was far too hot to put on. Check it on your wrist.

WHAT IT REPLACES

Three things you are already buying.

A warm compress, something cold for hot nights, and a mask to block the light. This is all three, and you only wash it.

Option What it costs The catch
Single-use warm eye patches£120 to £300 a yearWorks, then goes in the bin. Every evening is another packet, and you notice the cost by about month four.
Blackout curtains£40 to £120Better than nothing, and the gap down the middle is still there at eleven in the morning. It also stays in that room.
A silk eye mask£15 to £40Handwash only, so it gets washed once. Elastic strap, so it catches your hair. One temperature, all year.
Velrest™ Weighted Temperature Mask£29.99Warm, cold or neither, reusable, and it goes in the wash with your sheets. Ninety nights to see whether you get on with it.

Prices based on typical UK retail, 2026. Single-use patch cost assumes one patch per evening.

90 NIGHTS

Thirty nights isn't enough.

Weight on your face feels odd for the first few nights, whatever you buy. A thirty night trial leaves you about nine nights to judge it once you are past that, and you are judging it during the part that was always going to feel strange. Ninety leaves you sixty nine, and enough winter and summer to know whether you use both sides.

WHO YOU'RE BUYING FROM
About us

We started by asking people who owned an eye mask why they had stopped using it.

Almost nobody said it was not dark enough. They said the strap caught their hair. They said it was too warm in July and pointless in January. They said the warm patches worked but they got tired of buying them.

None of that is the idea being wrong. It is the strap, the fabric and the format. So that is what we built this around: no strap at all, two sides, and something you warm up rather than throw away.

Still got questions?

Microwave for no more than 15 seconds at a time, then check it against the inside of your wrist before it goes near your face. If you want it warmer, give it another 10 seconds and check again. Never go past 15 seconds in one go, and never leave it unattended in the microwave.

Twenty minutes in the fridge is enough. It does not need the freezer and we would rather you did not, because it stops being comfortable long before it stops being cold.

There is no strap on it at all. No elastic, no velcro, no buckle, no hook. The band is one continuous loop, so there is nothing on it that can catch. If you wear a bonnet or a headscarf it goes over the top without dragging anything out of place.

It is one size, and there is nothing to adjust. The band is soft and stretches, and it suits most people. Two honest exceptions: if you have a particularly small head it may sit lower than you would like, and if you wear a CPAP mask the two can compete for the same space. Ninety nights and free UK returns exist for exactly this.

The 360° band holds it round your whole head rather than pinching at two points, which is what strapless masks with no band at all get wrong. If yours moves, it is usually sitting too high. Pull it down so the contoured edge rests along your nose rather than across the bridge.

Yes. Cold water, gentle cycle, in with your bedding. Air dry or tumble dry on low, no bleach. Worth doing regularly if you warm it up in the evening, because you are using it before your skincare has fully sunk in.
